Montana's natural landscape

 Montana has two very spectacular natural terrain: the northern Rocky Mountains and prairie. Montana grassland covers three-fifths of the area, except for some isolated mountains and valleys, the Montana prairie stretches to the west of the Rocky Mountains, this region's climate is very unstable.

 The eastern foot of the northern Rocky Mountains extending north west of Browning and Great Falls, Montana mountains continue to be extended to the southern boundary near Livingston, Red Lodge, and West Yellowstone. Orogeny did not reach a level where the high valleys, the mountains separated. Montana's majestic mountains in Glacier National Park and the northern Rocky Mountains appear exhaustive.

 Many mountain snow melted from the confluence of the rivers and streams from, Missouri and Yellowstone rivers in Montana's most important. Wyoming originated from Yellowstone River flows northward after the southern mountains of Montana, after Billings after a river of the prairie. The other river originated in the Missouri River Three Forks, west of the intersection of Yellowstone River, Yellowstone River, but also to retain the original Meriwether Lewis and William Clark arrived here in the original, but the Missouri River is different, built in the basin on a number of dams.

 Montana's natural landscape remains in the state's 10 national forests and 13 wildlife protected areas. Two national parks are kept within the state, including Glacier National Park and a portion of Yellowstone National Park. A special feature is Montana's rivers, most of them still preserved the original style, such as the Flathead, a part of the Missouri River and 48 natural free state's longest river --- Yellowstone River!
